Loma T-Shirts

Loma Records was an American subsidiary record label of Warner Bros. Records managed by Bob Krasnow, then later Russ Regan. Its name was derived from Eloma, a cleared copyright Warner owned. In March 1964, Warner Bros. president Mike Maitland announced the formation of Loma Records. Former promotional man and record producer Bob Krasnow was named the manager of the new label. Maitland explained the purpose of Loma was "an attempt to broaden singles coverage. There's so much product available through outside source, that we can afford to release it on Warner Bros., Reprise and now Loma." The first releases on the label were purchased masters.

Point Loma Lighthouse is a black and white art print of the lighthouse located in the Cabrillo National Monument. Cabrillo National Monument is on the southern tip of Point Loma in San Diego, California, which is the entrance to San Diego Bay from the Pacific Ocean. The lighthouse dates back to 1855 and is located on the highest point in the National Monument. The monument is to commemorate the landing of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo at San Diego Bay in 1542. This is a close-up of the actual lamp (Fresnel Lens) of the Old Point Loma Lighthouse in San Diego, California. The highly polished Fresnel lens that was used at this lighthouse (and utilized by many lighthouses) is a very beautiful object. It refracts and reflects light to create prismatic colors when viewed from certain angles. It’s almost a miracle that a small flame in a lamp can be magnified to the extent that ships far out at sea can easily see it and be guided to safety. Light intensified by those types of lenses can be seen 18 to 24 miles away! These 19th century lenses are truly works of art made of highly polished brass and glass (light bender); and in this case it used to focus light almost 400 feet above sea level. A F...

I walked searching out the beauty where I grew up in San Diego beside this tide pool on the edge of the continent. Here is a moment in time when the shapes, lines and rhythms of life are frozen for us to contemplate. I am always awestruck to see the basis of all art in Nature, the lines that direct my eye, the shapes arranged in relationships which tug ineffably to something in my soul. I find the subtle and the dramatic contrasts between light and dark reveal building blocks of Creation and therefore a kinship between myself and the elements in this image. The 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake occurred on California’s Central Coast on October 17 at 5:04 p.m. local time (1989-10-18 00:04 UTC). The shock was centered in The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park approximately 10 mi (16 km) northeast of Santa Cruz on a section of the San Andreas Fault System and was named for the nearby Loma Prieta Peak in the Santa Cruz Mountains. With an Mw magnitude of 6.9 and a maximum Modified Mercalli intensity of IX (Violent), the shock was responsible for 63 deaths and 3,757 injuries. The Loma Prieta segment of the San Andreas Fault System had been relatively inactive since the 1906 San Francisco earthquake (to the degree that it was designated a seismic gap) until two moderate foreshocks occurred in June 1988.
