This is NOT a Dandelion - although it is sometimes called Native Dandelion. It's a Yam Daisy (Microseris Lanceolata), and its tuberous root was eaten by Aborigines - hence it's called Yam. Found at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve in Croydon North, Victoria, Australia.

I love love love the California Poppy! It is California's State flower! Every Spring these beautiful wildflowers blanket the fields and mountains of California and the Southwest.

Reach for the sky is a painting I created from one of the many reference photos I have captured of gum trees in my local area and on family bushwalks. I love to observe the gum trees sculpture, colors and texture and how their branches reach for the sky. Each one is a work of art. This one has pink bark that is shedding off its trunk.

The ‘Ōhi’a Lehua is an evergreen tree native to Hawaii. Lehua means “hair” in Hawaiian and refers to the red hair-like flower.

Ivy Leaved Violets (Viola Hederacea) are very common in the woodlands of Southern Australia in Spring. Their tiny flowers are hard to photograph as they are so close to the ground. I was lucky to find this one growing down a bank - it just meant I had to stand in a ditch to get to eye level!

Ear Sundews (Drosera Auriculata) are quite difficult to photograph, as they have a long slender stem with a single pink flower on the end. This makes it difficult to include the sticky "ears", with which they catch insects, and the flower. I was lucky to find this twisted specimen, with a vey pretty flower.
