Tribute: Transformers - Megatron Megatron is a fictional character from the Transformers franchise, created by Hasbro, and based on a toy design by Takara. He is a sentient robotic lifeform from the planet Cybertron. He is also the Supreme leader of the villainous faction (primarily the Decepticons) and primary antagonist in most works of Transformers fiction. He has the ability to transform between his robot shape and various weapons or vehicles, depending on which "universe" he is seen in. Within the fiction, he is often said to have named himself after legendary the Megatronus Prime, and similarly inspired the name of a later villainous character.

Optimus Prime, known in Japan as Convoy (コンボイ, Konboi), is a fictional character created by the Transformers franchise. He is a Cybertronian, a fictional extraterrestrial species of sentient self-configuring modular robotic lifeforms (e.g.: cars and other objects), a synergistic blend of biological evolution and technological engineering. In almost every version of the mythos, Optimus is the leader of the Autobots, a faction of Transformers who are rivals of the Decepticons, another faction. He is defined by his strong moral character and is almost always portrayed as the primary hero of the story, opposing the evil Decepticon leader Megatron.

As the current Matrix of Leadership bearer, Optimus Prime is the de facto leader of the Autobots, a faction of a transforming species of synthetic intelligence from the planet Cybertron. The Autobots are constantly waging civil war against a rival faction of transforming robots called Decepticons. This Optimus Prime t-shirt features an original hand drawn illustration along with Japanese kanji as seen on the Takara-made toy packaging in Japanese markets. The art includes some heavy vintage effects to give it some genuine 1984 street cred. For a more subtle version, look at my other Optimus Prime tee!
