Gus Polinski, the self proclaimed "Polka King of the Midwest," is the leader of the Kenosha Kickers polka band who offers a ride to Kate McCallister when they both find themselves stranded in a snowed in Scranton Airport. Riding in the back of a rented box truck with the band as they continue their tour, Gus dropped Kate off at home in Chicago on their way through town.
