This is Belougery Spire photographed with Canon 400D on the Grand High Tops walking track. It's one of the fantastic volcanic plugs in the Warrumbungle National Park. These plugs are created when the softer rock forming the volcano weathers away over millions of years leaving the harder solidified lava remaining. The Warrumbungle National Park is near Coonabarabran in the north west of NSW, Australia & features a great range of Australian wildlife. St Michael and All Angels’ church is a Grade 2 Listed Building. It is situated immediately adjacent to Croft Castle, (near Leominster, Herefordshire, England) and is managed by the National Trust. It is a small, early to mid c14 building, consisting of chancel and nave. Around 1700 they added a west bell turret with leaded ogee-shaped cupola, incorporating a rare single-hand clock. Long ago, in a galaxy far away, before settlers moved into Black Spire Outpost on the eastern coat of Batuu, the area was home to the most exciting tour in the Outer Rim. Stars! Explosions! Old Rotting Spaceships! While the tour is no longer, it's spirit lives on in the hearts of people wondering around wondering where the heck they are, and what ever happened to Dok Odnar's Spectacle of Life Day Lights.

Looking across the River Thames - invisible here behind the thick growth of riverside plants - to the town of Lechlade in Gloucestershire. This is a picturesque market town at the southernmost edge of the Cotswolds, close to the Oxfordshire border. Behind the Riverside pub and restaurant can be seen the spire of the parish church of St Lawrence - a local landmark. The Thames Path starts close by, near to the town of Cricklade and continues all the way to the Thames Barrier in London.

Tynemouth Long Sands on the North East Coast of England pictured on a warm autumn morning. This stretch of beach is very popular at all times of the year with dog walkers and strollers and this particular day, the Blue Flag beach was under a blue sky with blue reflections in the wet sand after the tide had receded. The image was shot from the southern end of the beach just next to the disused open air swimming pool looking towards Cullercoats.

A view across the Thames in the early stages of its life at Lechlade in Gloucestershire. In The background is the church of St Lawrence - the spire a local landmark. Lechlade, at the southernmost tip of the Cotswolds marks the beginning (or end depending on your direction oif travel) of the navigable Thames. Fuirther upstream past Halfpenny Bridge it gradually becomes narrower and shallower - no place for river cruisers and narrowboats! This image has added textures.

Sitting, as it does, beside the River Nene in the Northamptonshire village of Fotheringhay makes the splendid church of St Mary and All Saints look even more stunning. It's renowned for containing a mausoleum to leading members of the Yorkist dynasty of the Wars of the Roses. The church was constructed in the 15th century. Fotheringhay village is also famous for being the place where Mary, Queen of Scots, was imprisoned and, eventually, beheaded.

Looking upstream of the River Thames towards the market town of Abingdon in Oxfordshire. Overhead gulls are wheeling and crying whilst two ducks paddle by. In the background is the spire of St Helen's church which dates form the early 12th century. A landmark in the area, it inspired the artist JMW Turner, featuring in a painting titled 'Abingdon'. Although now in Oxfordshire, Abingdon was, until 1867, the county town of Berkshire before that status was transferred to Reading.
