The dogs of War: P47 Thunderbolt Tank Top

At last the dogs of war have a P47, the Jug as it was know to its pilots was named not for its size, as in juggernaut, but for the fact that someone at some point thought that if up ended and balanced on its nose its fuselage looked like a classic American milk jug. In any case it was a massive fighter plane known for being fast and very rugged. It had 8 50,cal machine guns in the wings and packed a huge bunch. Pilots of the P47 found it was excellent in a dive but not so great in a dogfight against more agile fighters like the Bf109. Therefore they perfected the Boom and Zoom. Dive on the enemy guns blazing and then use the momentum to fly back up to altitude whether a kill was made or not. If a pilot wanted to live a long hand happy life
