Kastoria, besides its beauty, is well know as one of the most important, fur production and trading center in the world. It is, also, an "open air" Byzantine museum, with 75 byzantine and post-Byzantine churches and more than 3.700 square meters of byzantine frescoes covering a period of about 7 centuries.
