The first official Klements Sausage Race played on County Stadium’s state-of-the-art black and white scoreboard on June 27, 1993. The Polish, Bratwurst, & Italian Sausages raced over the harbor’s Hoan Bridge (above left). During the final season played at County Stadium in 2000, the virtual race turned real, with larger-than-life sausages now racing during every game.
