Just a couple of misfits, rebelling against the status quo. Taking a stand against bullies. They were punk before anyone knew what punk was. Rudolph and Hermey showed Christmas Town a thing or two. Now you can show people how punk you are, this holiday season, with this nod to the classic punk band Misfits' tshirt. There are color and white print versions of both Rudolph the Reindeer and Hermey the Elf.

I spotted this view on my first trip to St Ives, back in 1998, and took a photo of the lines draped across the beach whilst the boats were out fishing. I thought that one day it would make a good tall painting. 20+ years later, I've got round to doing it, and here is the result, painted in oil on a 12x24 inch board. For the artists out there, the sand is naples yellow and white. For the wet parts I've added mauve and cobalt blue, and some vandyke brown to darken the foreground. For the sea I've used viridian and ultramarine.
