Iww Cat Tank Tops
Description: The image of a fighting-mad black cat, back arched, claws out, and spitting in anger, has been widely used by activists calling for, or announcing, direct action in the workplace or elsewhere, by workers. Either in protest or to advance a cause, the image, often called the "Sabo-Tabby," might be put up as stickers or pamphlets to announce actions.

Description: The sab-cat has nine lives and no conscience. The black cat, also called the "wild cat" or "sabot-cat", usually with an arched back and with claws and teeth bared, is closely associated with anarchism, especially with anarcho-syndicalism. As its stance suggests, the cat is meant to suggest wildcat strikes and radical unionism. We added some subtlety to the message, because we are aware the revolutions' adagio:'A Laughter That Will Bury You All'. Original redesign of an old classic by Blacklinesw9.

Description: According to the IWW: The Black Cat -- traditionally drawn as angry with claws bared, arched back, and a brushy tail (pictured, right) -- has long been one of the symbols of the IWW. It was probably conceived by IWW member Ralph Chaplin (most famous for penning the IWW / labor anthem "Solidarity Forever"), who produced many of the IWW's early "slient agitator" graphics which -- themselves -- had a close association with hobo signs. We like to combine anarchist symbols and quotes with the visual art of anarchists like William Morris. Our goal is to create beautiful and accessible ways to approach the philosophy of Mutual Aid.
