What sort of engine goes into a boat that is worthy of exploring the vast and untamed wilds of the Lands of Adventure? Why, a Miracle Boat Engine Company engine, of course. Known for its reliability and worthiness to handle even the worst of jokes, the Miracle is an amazing engine.

We all have Partners and Spouses. People who are the center of our world, and we are theirs... But we know that the partners of Jungle Cruise Skippers are a special breed. They have to, well... put up with us. Put up with the jokes, the silliness, the horribly scheduled hours. But, still, at the end of the day, they are proud of us... Somewhat.

The boats of the Jungle Cruise use a signalling system involving shots on their .38 special pistols. 3 shots means your boat cannot proceed, and serves as a warning to those before and after you. Sometimes we have those moments in our lives. We can’t move forward or back. We’re stuck, where we are. The moments set in. The panic. The fear of being stuck in a boat (metaphorically) with 48 people staring at you for what seems like an hour. We all have felt the way we feel when a boat goes 3 Shot… But just keep calm. Let everyone know what is going on. That you’re all right. And just Three Shot…

On February 27th, 2020, the event known as the "Sinking of the Bomokandi Bertha" shook the internet. We take a moment to remember all the socks that were moistened, the memes that were born, and the Skippers who laughed their asses off. (Except for whomever was in the boat. Wow. Sympathy to you.)

This is a reprint of a design we did for our 2016 Kickstarter campaign, and a few people have asked for it to be available again. Proudly proclaim that you are going to live life like it was a ride... a theme park ride... with fake animals. But one that you are going to conquer with style, panache, and a snappy hat. (As you may have noticed, much of our work revolves around Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise Skipper culture. We host a podcast devoted to the subject, and these items are independent homages to the Golden Era of Adventure that the stories from the ride take place in.)

I don’t get the fascination with pirates. They were filthy, alcohol soaked, scurvy mouthed, bug ridden boat roaches. They didn’t have respect for a man’s property, respect for ladies, or even respect for basic hygiene. Yet, for some reason we idolize them, give them a theme park ride, and 5 movies. (one of which was good.) Give me a Jungle Skipper any day of the week… (As you may have noticed, much of our work revolves around Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise Skipper culture. Another design that was lost in our early versions of the Skipper Store... (But TeePublic vintage shirts look great with this one) This was the logo from the non-existent "Skipper Con '72", a fictitious gathering of Jungle Cruise Skips in 1972.

Sure, we all know that the State Animal of California is a bear. (Wait, you knew that, right?) But, what of the noble and majestic Hippopotamus? This gentle yet deadly creature sums up the true dichotomy that is California. Plus, we all know that Hippos are only dangerous if they wiggle their ears and blow bubbles.

We wanted to show that Jungle Cruise Skippers have a heart. I, for example, have multiple ones, in jars... under my bed. But, enough about my weekend hobbies. We know that the heart of a Skipper beats with pure passion, amazing adventure, and silky sarcasm.

To a Jungle Cruise Skipper, there's nothing like the feeling when you step into a bote. (Sure, some people call it a boat, but we know how to spell it.) It's a magical feeling, where you feel utterly comfortable to be yourself, and you know that you belong. In other words... home.

Especially if you see bubbles in the water!

There's a lot of misconception about the misspellings of "Bote" that are out there. Some people even think there is an "A" in it. (I guess there is... "A bote") But, Jungle Skippers of modern generations know their vehicles of choice by this 4 letter name. Now, I don't know much about animals... Ok, I know nearly nothing about animals. But when I go to the zoo, there's one thing I do know. They call these ones, "Stripey Horseys"... (This shirt is in homage to the Jungle Cruise's very famous Stripey Horseys, who have been hanging out on the Veldt for a very long time... and yet few Skippers seem to be able to figure out what they really are...)

The FOOH celebrates the brotherhood of Jungle Skippers from across the world. From Anaheim, Orlando, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, these amazing Skips have been delivering passengers and humor for 60+ years, and the Order is a support organization making sure that the Skips know they are never alone..

So, I could give you a nice long explanation of why the Skippers of Disney's Jungle Cruise ride spell it "Bote" when so many other people spell it "Boat". But, it's a long and boring story, with a lot of historical call backs to the 1970's and 80's... So, instead, I'll tell you that the primary people who are probably looking at this shirt are the Skippers and fans of the ride, because they were probably linked here because of the Jungle Crews podcast, the oral history of Disney's Jungle Cruise ride. Hundreds of hours of really great stories of an incredibly fun job that was loved by all.

Jungle Cruise Skips can have a wide range of styles. But Sarcastic Skips always seem to stick in the minds of our guests. Sometimes it's hard not to slip into a darker mood, particularly when you have hours of glassy eyed tourists and international guests who don't get the jokes or the language. I *try* not to get bitter... but it happens

Everyone who goes to a theme park knows about this amazing frozen treat. Vegan, fat free, and tastes like pickles! Dill Whip fever has taken the country by storm, and when the chips are down, this is the bread and butter of many people's treats.

The hottest Bluegrass club around... come listen to the musical stylings of Big Al, Henry, Max, Wendell, Sammy, Zeke, Liver Lips, the beautiful Teddi Barra, Shaker, Ernest, and all your other favorite performers.

Everyone knows this hat. There's only one guy who can pull off this hat. We know it's iconic place in cinema, and we know what it means to children of a certain generation. This is my tribute to that hat.

One question of fans of Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room is "What happened to Rosita"? Well, now we know... Rosita was a very unhappy cockatoo. She was shunned by her sisters, Collette, Suzette, Mimi, Gigi, Fifi and Josephine. She was shut out of the show, and she went to live a life of crime and revenge... And now she has a very famous roadside taco stand where she serves up revenge against the object of her ire, the parrots who put her out of show business... with a side of cilantro.

We loved Disneyland's Jingle Cruise, for the 3 years it was with us, but for the last 2 years it has been gone and we wanted to put out a shirt to help get it back. So, if you loved Jingle, wear this shirt to show your solidarity for our hope for it's return...

I've been trying to play with retro styles lately, and this was based off an old 1970's t-shirt that I found. I tried to imagine how this pattern would feel on an old shirt, so the tri-blend t-shirts with their heathered styles are probably the best fit. I also did a non-distressed version of this, if you aren't into a wash and wear feel.

Who can forget Jungle Wars, Episode 4 (A Gnu Hope) and the valiant exploits of scoundrel Hippo Solo? For so long there was a controversy, but no matter how much the films are digitally altered, we all know that the Hippo shot first. (And that's why so many people seem to shoot at hippos, particularly Skippers on Disney's Jungle Cruise ride)

Well... We love hippos over here at the Jungle Crews, and this design popped out of our heads like a hippo popping out of the water. It looks amazing on a bunch of different colors, and it's basically a CMYK registration error that just looked damn cool. Enjoy it!
