My watercolour of this scene has been incredibly popular so it seemed an obvious step to paint it in acrylic. Lyme Regis is an iconic UK seaside town equally popular with fossil hunters and sun worshippers since Victorian times.

This is the fourth in my seaside postcard series and captures the fun we had in the glorious sunshine at Lyme Regis in Dorset, one of Englands most beautiful resorts.Once famous as the location for the French Lieutenant's Woman but now a favourite spot for fossil hunters. Of all the places I have painted on the UK’s coast my images of the Dorset town of Lyme Regis have been the most popular so today I have added this 11” x 10” pen and wash of the Cobb which featured prominently in the film The French Lieutenant’s Woman.
