Description: A friend nominated me to do the 10 day movie challenge on Instagram which had a simple directive: post an image, no explanation, from 10 movies that had an impact on me. I decided to draw mine and transform them into Victorian inspired patterns. My favorite films feature outsiders, outlaws, wierdos, inverts, eccentrics, romantics, bon vivants, and rebels. Films that spoke to the queer and camp sensibility brewing inside me long before I knew who or what I was. Films that I still quote and reference to this day with ease. Description: CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in the East Village in Manhattan, New York City. The club was previously a biker bar and before that was a dive bar.[2] The letters CBGB were for Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Kristal's original vision for the club. But CBGB soon emerged as a famed and iconic venue for punk rock and new wave bands, including the Ramones, Dead Boys, Television, Patti Smith Group, Blondie, Madonna and Talking Heads.

The original of the holy image of Our Lady of Ostra Brama is housed in the chapel of the Dawn Gate of Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a Polish-Lithuanian Madonna. The original painting is 163 x 200 cm and was painted by an unknown artist on 8 oak planks around 1630. It was covered with silver and gold around 1671. The head of Madonna is adorned with two crowns. Two little angels lower the crown with colored glass inlays upon the smaller crown. The two crowns, made of pure gold, were blessed by Pope Pius XI in 1927. On July 2, 1927 a coronation ceremony took place and the painting received the title of Mother of Mercy.
