Description: Nothingface is the fifth studio album by Canadian thrash metal band Voivod that was released in 1989. The album marked a major change for the band, with a new sound rooted in progressive rock that incorporates elements of thrash metal and space rock. Several riffs are heavily influenced by Igor Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring," specifically the center section of the track "Pre-Ignition." Nothingface is Voivod's most successful album to date, and their only record to enter the charts, where it peaked at number 114, most likely thanks to the music video for the album's third track was in regular rotation.
