Description: It is a member of the Snake eels family and is native to the Red Sea and East Africa to French Polynesia, north to the Ogasawara Islands, south to Australia. It resides in lagoons, estuaries and freshwater areas. It feeds on crustaceans and small fish. They are nocturnal hunters, often found buried or with their heads showing in mud or sand, waiting to ambush their prey. It can reach a maximum length of 108 cm (3.5 feet).

Description: The Totem Pole was a gift from the people of Canada to HM The Queen in June, 1958. The Pole is 100 feet high, one foot for every year, and marks the centenary of British Columbia, which was named by Queen Victoria and proclaimed a Crown Colony on November 19th 1858. It is now the Pacific Coast Province of Canada.
