Berkeley Systems is a long defunct 80s software company that specialized in software for the early Macintosh platform, most well known being the After Dark series of screen savers with their flying toasters. This vintage version of the design includes ample wear and tear to give it an aged look.

ORIGIN and its founder Richard "Lord British" Garriott "created worlds" from 1983 to 2004. Huge sagas like Ultima (!!!) and Wing Commander saw the light, then System Shock, Strike Commander, Crusader, Abuse, Shadow Caster and so on... In short: one of the most iconic softwarehouses from the '80 and '90. This logo is a vectors replica of the second version (the one I remember most fondly), then masked with scratches and age old dust. Hope you like it! :-D

"Light but Strong." Thorne Mobile Field Systems was an engineering company founded by Dr. Jack “Doc” Thorne after he took retirement from Stanford University. Known for his dislike of theory and specializing in the use of more unorthodox engineering methods, Thorne took his profession into practice by founding Thorne Mobile Field Systems. Based in a shop at the far end of an industrial park in Woodside, the headquarters featured a large work floor with a small office in the corner. Of the few employees who worked for Thorne, one of the most notable was chief foreman Eddie Carr, whose genius with electronics and mechanics made him indispensable. In 1995, Richard Levine sought out Thorne Mobile Field Systems to create a modified Ford Explorer and a pair of specialized trailers to be used in a field expedition to Isla Sorna, InGen‘s Site B.

Gregarious Simulation Systems, otherwise known as GSS, is the company that produces and operates the OASIS. GSS started out as a company called Gregarious Games in the 1980s, created by James Donovan Halliday and Ogden Morrow. The company was a huge success from its inception to the age of Wade Owen Watts. This version of the GSS design is new and clean, but if a vintage treatment to give it a true old-school look like you've had it since the 80s is more your thing, I've got one of those in my shop as well, so check it out!

One of the most advanced systems that Ocean System Technicians employed was the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS). It was comprised of the Sound Surveillance System (SOSUS), Surveillance Towed Array System (SURTASS), and the Rapidly Deployable Surveillance System (RDSS). The data that OT Sailors collected through this system was collected, stored, and analyzed at Naval Ocean Processing Facilities at Dam Neck, Virginia (for data collected in the Atlantic) and Whidbey Island (Pacific Ocean data). On October 1, 1998, Sailors serving as Ocean System Technicians were merged into the Sonar Technician rating.
