Utah is a state of amazing natural color. A visit to Capitol Reef National Park is only one of southern Utah's natural wonders to put on your list of 'Must See' places on your visit to the state. Vast landscapes to smaller vignette view, such as this, will just take your breath away with beauty.

With this striking color combination, there was no way to miss this moth, obviously not a shy creature. Still trying to tack down the identity of this little fellow, photograph was taken near Pinos Altos, New Mexico.

Spring in New Mexico is a wonderful time of year when the Prickly Pear cactus show their true colors in amazing display of delicate flowers.

Just sweet and simple, the beauty of the morning sunlight shinning through a field of wheat grass at Bosque Del Apache Preserve, New Mexico.

An abstract view created in this wall and window with lines and textures. Known as "Officer's Row" at Fort Bayard in southwest New Mexico, once regal living quarters are now falling sadly into decay. Portrayed in the art of decay, there are many elements telling a story of time in this photograph. Although I am not sure when this dwelling was built, Fort Bayard was originally established and the first building of the fort began in August of 1866 and currently is a National Historic Landmark. My heart breaks to see these once majestic buildings fall into ruin.....

A special type of tranquility settles in as the sun sinks below the horizon and the the Sandhill Cranes, who have taken up residency, settle in for the evening at Bosque Del Apache Wildlife & Waterfowl Preserve, New Mexico.

Mama Gamble's Quail was busy watching out for her family as she was being quite patient with me and a good photographic subject. As soon as I slowly backed away Papa Quail and all of the babies popped up out of the rocks and the entire family strolled off.

Tour of the Gila is an annual 5 day cycling race. This image was taken during the Stage 4 Critirium, an all day racing event held in downtown Silver City, New Mexico.

_Fallugia Paradoxa_ - An evergreen desert shrub, the Apache Plume is a member of the Rose family (Rosaceae) and had a wide rage throughout the southwest.

Pristine reflection in a pond at Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico was beautiful beyond words. This photograph, void of other distractions of surrounding, captured the essence of my emotion as I was seeing it and conveys the moment well.
