The ancestor of the flying pig is the wild flying boar. Domesticated pig is one of the most numerous large mammals on the planet, but you can't say it about flying pigs. There aren't many who saw them. There aren't many who survived to tell the tale. Flying pigs always live with their heads high in the clouds.
