It's well worth the extra hour to detour to Seperation Point. We got to watch seals in crystal clear water.

Anapai Bay is up there in the most amazing places I've ever camped! We had the entire beach almost to ourselves, a beautiful sunset, sunrise and even a pod of dolphins! Painting this was a little bit crazy in strong winds!

Straight after the Paparoa Track we jumped on to the Abel Tasman, choosing to kayak the first day to Anchorage Bay. This painting was tricky because when I started the water was turquoise but the sun set to reflect off the sea and make everything silvery white! (I was also knackered)

Our second day on the Abel Tasman Track was a big one so that we could be ready to cross Awaroa Bay first thing in the morning. This was a quick sketch before we reached camp, painted at a later date.
