Adelaide Hills region is located in the southern Mount Lofty Ranges east of the city of Adelaide in the state of South Australia. The Adelaide Hills region is one of the cooler wine regions of mainland Australia as, despite warm days in January and February when the grapes are ripening, the region generally experiences cool nights. The Hills region also has many conservation parks, with free roaming kangaroos, wallabies, emus, koalas, native birds & snakes, and is a popular destination. Many native species of fauna can be encountered within the hills region.
