Dedan Kimathi, Kenyan and African patriot and freedom fighter, was the senior military and spiritual leader of the Land and Freedom Army (Mau Mau) uprising in Kenya, East Africa. He was widely regarded as a revolutionary leader, he led the armed military struggle against the British colonial regime in Kenya in the 1950s until his execution in 1957. Designed in honor of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first Democratically elected President in modern Black history. Behind him is the real life Kwame Nkrumah Museum and Memorial Park.

Madiba, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela,South African anti-apartheid activist who served as the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country's first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. His government focused on dismantling the legacy of apartheid by fostering racial reconciliation. Ideologically an African nationalist and socialist, he served as the president of the African National Congress (ANC) party from 1991 to 1997.
