An airplane or aeroplane (informally plane) is a powered, fixed-wing aircraft that is propelled forward by thrust from a jet engine, propeller or rocket engine. Airplanes come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and wing configurations. The broad spectrum of uses for airplanes includes recreation, transportation of goods and people, military, and research. Worldwide, commercial aviation transports more than four billion passengers annually on airliners and transports more than 200 billion tonne-kilometers of cargo annually, which is less than 1% of the world's cargo movement.

The AN-225 made its first flight on the 21st of December 1988 taking off from the factory aerodrome in Svyatoshyn. The airplane was flown by a crew headed by Oleksandr Galunenko. Mriya was developed for transportation of the Buran shuttle orbiter and components of the Energiya carrier rocket.

Landing is the last part of a flight, where a flying animal, aircraft, or spacecraft returns to the ground. When the flying object returns to water, the process is called alighting, although it is commonly called "landing", "touchdown" or "splashdown" as well. A normal aircraft flight would include several parts of flight including taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent and landing. In large transport category (airliner) aircraft, pilots land the aircraft by "flying the airplane on to the runway." The airspeed and attitude of the plane are adjusted for landing.

The origin of the word "travel" is most likely lost to history. The term "travel" may originate from the Old French word travail, which means 'work'. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the first known use of the word travel was in the 14th century. It also states that the word comes from Middle English travailen, travelen (which means to torment, labor, strive, journey) and earlier from Old French travailler (which means to work strenuously, toil). In English we still occasionally use the words "travail", which means struggle.

Imperial Airways was an early British commercial airline, operating from 1924 to 1939, principally serving the British Empire routes to South Africa, India, Australia, and the Far East, including Malaya and Hong Kong. On May 1, 1927, Imperial introduced its “Silver Wing” service on the London to Paris route, establishing the first ever luxury in flight service. Operated with a dedicated fleet of three silver Armstrong Whitworth Argosy triple engine aircraft, the planes featured spacious silver and gray interiors with upgraded seating, a full bar, and a steward to serve a four-course lunch during the two and a half hour flight. This design is based on a 1935 advertising poster promoting the London to Paris flights.

WWII plane battles near turbulent waters, surrounded by fire and chaos. Pilot's determination reflects survival amidst adversity. Fiery palette conveys war's intensity, with "Live to Fly, Fly to Live, Do or Die... Aces High" motto.

If you're looking at this, you're familiar with the mercenary ace pilots of Area 88 - Shin Kazama, Mickey Simon, and Greg Gates. There are only two ways out of service : earn 1.5 million dollars or... desert.
