Colour ink and watercolour painting of a red-eyed tree frog. Native to the rainforests of central and south America, the Red eyed tree frog has vibrant red eyes and a green body with blue patches and yellow stripes down the sides. Their feet are webbed and orange or red.

I created this drawing using one of my own photographs as reference, and whilst watching the sloth I was surprised at how fast they can climb! Their famed slowness is actually based on their slow metabolism. The Linnaeus's two-toed sloth is one of the six living sloth species which spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees of tropical rainforests in South and Central America.

Jaguar (Panthera onca) are a large species of big cat found only in America. They closely resemble leopards but are larger have different spot markings. Their fur is either cream yellow or black and is covered in spots and large rosettes. Their undersides are white with small spots.

This Surinam Toad was captured and photographed in the Ecuador Amazon rainforest in July 2022, then released. One of my favorite creatures; quite a challenge to spot in the muddy marshes and streams.
