Silkbind Attacks (MHR or MHRise) are special attacks performed using the Wirebug. Each of the 14 Weapon types have their own unique set of Silkbind Attacks and each Silkbind Attack makes use of the Wirebug gauge to perform a powerful maneuver that can have various special properties such as negating damage or staggers while in motion, or launching the Hunter into the sky to execute a devastating attack from mid-air. Hunters can have 2 Silkbind Attacks active while on hunts. Silkbind attacks go hand-in-hand with the Switch Skills mechanic, allowing a Hunter to customize their loadout with a combination of different skills for a tailored hunting experience.

The new land to which you, the player, have been called. It's an outpost built over a ruined fortress to facilitate research into the elder dragon, Malzeno, and other Kingdom monsters. Knights of the Order, researchers, sailors, and hunters all gather here. Across the sea from the capital, it sits beside a massive crater formed long ago when Malzeno appeared.

These people from Kamura Village and Elgado Outpost will assist you during hunts, they use their own mastery weapon and they have their own unique hunting skills and weapon. These characters are powerful partners who hunt together. Participate as a "courage" and enjoy a new hunting experience.

Quest receptionist in Elgado and heiress to the throne. With the Kingdom in crisis, she felt compelled to help. After a period of intense study, she qualified as a quest receptionist and started work in Elgado despite much opposition. Though she's royalty, she treats all equally and her warm nature is the lifeblood for those stationed in Elgado.

A Wyverian man who's set up a market in Elgado. He has bountiful stock and equally bountiful knowledge which he deepens at every opportunity by reading and generally having an inquiring mind. He looks up to Tadori, the Wyverian doctor, as a mentor, and also has a profound respect for Kagero, the merchant in Kamura.

A Wyverian doctor whose name is known far and wide. Years ago, he created a cure that saved countless souls from a plague that ripped through the Kingdom. He spends most of his time deep in the wilderness, gathering herbs he can use for his medicines. Both Tadori and Kagero, the merchant in Kamura, come from the same village. A village that suffered a tragic end.

A hunter of the Kingdom, and de facto leader of the Royal Order. Along with Admiral Galleus, she leads research into the disaster occurring across the Kingdom from Elgado. Her strong sense of duty and serious nature can make her somewhat overbearing. Her sister, Rondine, is also a knight, but works as a trader in Kamura.

Though young, this resident Elgado Smithy's skills are recognized by the royal family. Rondine also arranged for her to train under Master Hamon in Kamura. Minayle loves her job and is always hard at work in the forge. She's willing to tackle any task, and even takes on seemingly impossible requests with a good-natured smile.

An admiral commanding the Elgado Outpost and the official leader of the Knights of the Royal Order. Though taciturn, his leadership is strong and undeniable, and he has the trust not only of the knights, but of all in the Kingdom. He has been tasked with defeating the Kingdom's nemesis, the elder dragon Malzeno, along with preventing Kingdom monsters from invading the surrounding territories. afi'jiiva is a large red dragon that in contrast to its juvenile form, Xeno'jiiva, no longer has an otherworldly appearance. Its scales are now rigid, very resistant to damage unless tenderized, and red in colour with some dark accents on many parts, such as the horns, feet, spikes, and wing edges. Its wing webbing and underside, however, is a tan colour. Its body parts no longer glow except when absorbing energy or when in its "Supercritical" state. Many spikes run from its neck along its back to the tail tip. Safi'jiiva keeps its arms bent and its chest close to the ground, unlike its juvenile form, which keeps its arms outstretched and its chest high off the ground. His brilliant mind has solved many tricky problems in the past, but his insatiable curiosity can make him blinkered and prone to unexpected outbursts, so he's considered an eccentric as well as a genius. He can inadvertently cause trouble for those around him, though he always means well.

A knight of the Royal Order stationed in Elgado. Though new, he displays exceptional talent and ability. Bright and cheerful, he's also a little impulsive, often choosing to act before he thinks. He loves working out, never missing his daily physical training. He's also obsessed with Admiral Galleus, to the point of secretly copying his hairstyle.

A knight of the Royal Order stationed in Elgado. Ever calm, she rarely shows emotion, and no one in the Outpost has ever even seen the corners of her mouth curl upwards. Being serious and hard-working, she has a profound knowledge of history and of monsters. She's said to be a fine hunter, though for some reason others shun the chance to hunt with her.
