Description: Arakawa Sheet Metal Works was founded in Japan in 1946 by Rizo Arakawa as a manufacturer of sheet-metal products during the country's postwar reconstruction. Over the following decades, the company expanded into automotive components and became a key supplier to Japanese auto manufacturers, developing expertise in stamping, body panels, and interior systems. In 1988, the company adopted the name Araco Corporation, reflecting its evolution into a major automotive manufacturing and engineering firm. Araco played an important role in producing vehicle bodies and specialty models, including work on the legendary Land Cruiser line. In 2004, Araco was acquired by its primary customer and merged into the parent's manufacturing operations.
