Boscombe Overstrand Panorama Number of views as of 8th October 2018 = 4200. A couple of miles east of Bournemouth, Boscombe is the site of Bournemouth's new artificial surf reef, unique in Europe and one of only 4 in the world, the others being Narrowneck, Queensland; Cables, Western Australia and Mt.Maunganui, New Zealand. The submerged reef occupies approximately one hectare (the size of a football pitch) and is 225 metres from the shoreline. The reef mimics the effects of a natural reef and is built from large geo-textile bags filled with sand. The Boscombe Overstrand building (centre shot) was designed in 1958, but has recently been transformed into a complex of 'surf pods', chic but not cheap beach accommodation overlooking the reef...

Close To The Edge Number of views as of 3rd October 2018 = 560. Beach huts and cliff scene at Branksome Dene, Poole, Dorset, England. The cliffs here are prone to erosion and inhabitants of dwellings close to the cliff tops occasionally lose parts of their gardens. The tree top left may survive the winter, or not. Date: 31st August 2009.

Southwold Beach Number of views as of 3rd December 2018 = 550. Arguably Suffolk's finest seaside town, Southwold is full of character and charm, with its sandy beach lined with beach huts, its red brick and flint cottages, its open spaces 'the greens' (which mark the sites of houses destroyed by a fire in 1659), its lighthouse set back from the sea front, the fine parish church of St Edmund, and last but not least Adnam's brewery. Southwold was a prosperous fishing port as early as the 11th century A.D. Date: 1st August 2013.

Branksome Beach Number of views as of 6th October 2017 = 290. The beach at Branksome Dene (Poole, Dorset, England), looking east towards Bournemouth. At this time of year, the yellow gorse bushes are in full flower all along the cliffs. The Bournemouth Eye tethered balloon can be seen top right. Date: 3rd May 2013.

The Golden Miles Number of views as of 10th July 2017 = 1100. The golden miles of sandy beach stretching from Sandbanks (Poole, Dorset, England) to Hengistbury Head (top right). This shot was taken from just west of Branksome Chine. Straight from the camera, no post-processing of any kind. Date: 29th September 2012.

Kingsand Number of views as of 7th September 2018 = 230. Kingsand and Cawsand are twin villages on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall (UK) overlooking Plymouth Sound. Until 1844, the Devon/Cornwall county boundary ran between the villages, with Cawsand in Cornwall and Kingsand in Devon. The villages have a history of fishing and smuggling, though the known smuggling tunnels have long since been sealed up. Date: 13th April 2014. Click here to view my Cornish collection.

Gower Peninsula, Rhossili Beach & Worm's Head Number of views as of 25th April 2019 = 480. Number of sales as of 25th April 2019 = 10. Worm's Head is a small, tidal island at the southern end of Rhossili Bay, forming the western-most tip of the Gower Peninsula, South Wales. The island can be accessed a couple of hours either side of low tide via a rocky causeway. It's name comes from the Viking word 'Wurm', meaning serpent. Date: 30th July 2015.
