Description: The Broome Dusters were an ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League from 1973 to 1977. They played in Binghamton, New York, United States at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Dusters played their first four seasons in the North American Hockey League, the NAHL inspired the infamous movie Slap Shot. The Dusters played their remaining 3 seasons in the American Hockey League from 1977-1980 before the team was sold and became the Binghamton Whalers. The movie Slap Shot was loosely based on the Dusters.
