Description: Founded in 1925, Mallory initially developed OEM ignition systems for many early cars, but by the '50s, they were known for their aftermarket systems for hot rods and drag racers who needed more oomph to get their high-compression engines to light and for those needing more adjustability for fine-tuning and keeping their monster motors humming along. Mighty Mallory was a fun superhero inspired character introduced in 1962 and was most commonly found on decals handed out at drag racing events.

Description: "Dyno" Don Nicholson earned his nickname while working at the big Pasadena Chebby dealer, using the dynamometer to tune customer cars. With the aid of his dealer connections, his prowess on the track caught the attention of Bowtie's racing gurus in Detroit, and Nicholson was one of the first to receive a 409 when it debuted in 1961. He put that 409 to good use, winning the Top Stock Eliminator at the first Winternationals in his Bel Air. He repeated that feat in '62, by which time he had been lured to Atlanta to work his tuning magic for Nalley Chebby. Nalley would not ony sponsor his Bel Air, but also set him up with his own dedicated tuning garage, calling it the Nalley-Nicholson Dyno Shop.
Description: Founded in 1899, Buick has long been considered the oldest luxury carmaker in the United States and specialized in conservative design that was far less ostentatious than other luxury makes. The company is named after its creator, David Dunbar Buick who was an accomplished plumbing engineer who became interested in internal combustion engines and automobiles. In 1899, the engineer began making cars, but despite creating some truly luxurious vehicles early on, auto manufacturing wasn't as profitable as he had hoped. Buick brought William C. Durant in as Buick's general manager and major investor and despite having no dedicated manufacturing line and only a few extant cars, orders tallied over 1,100 by the time of the 1905 New York Auto Show

Description: The Ford FE engine is a V8 used in vehicles sold in the North American market between 1958 and 1976. The FE was introduced to replace the short-lived Ford Y-block engine, which American cars and trucks were outgrowing. It was designed with room to be significantly expanded, and manufactured both as a top-oiler and side-oiler, and in displacements between 332 cu in and 428 cu in.The Ford single overhead cam (SOHC) 427 V8 engine, familiarly known as the "Cammer," was released in 1964 in an effort to maintain stock car racing dominance by seeking to counter the enormously large block 426 Hemi "elephant" engines. The FE 427 block was closer dimensionally to the smaller 392 cu. in. first generation FirePower Hemi.
