Autograph Rock Sante Fe Trail Oklahoma Collage Autograph Rock, northwest of Boise City, Oklahoma, is a well-documented feature of the famed Cimarron Cutoff of the Santa Fe Trail, which transects Cimarron County. On the rock face are more than three hundred signatures of people who passed it on the Santa Fe Trail between 1822 and the 1880s. F.B. Delgado, a member of a prominent Santa Fe family, carved his name more than any other during his travels on the trail. I found three different ones. Kit Carson’s name has not been found, but he built a fort near the rock to protect wagon trains that passed there. After 3 years of planning and 10 years of construction, Toronto's third city hall was completed in 1899 and became home to the city council until 1966. The Hockey Hall of Fame was created in 1943 and its first inductees were selected in 1945. The first HHOF building was opened in 1961 on the Canadian National Exposition grounds and moved to its present location in 1993. Built in 1885, The Hall is located in the former Bank of Montreal which was the only building on the block to survive The Great Fire of Toronto in 1904. It was designated a Heritage Property by The City of Toronto in 1976. Annesley Hall at No 95 Queen's Park Crescent in Toronto Canada is a student residence as a part of Victoria College on the campus of the University of Toronto. Built in 1903 and renovated in 1988, the building was declared a National Historic Site of Canada in 1990. The elaborate entrance to the British Colonial Building at No 49 Yonge St in Toronto Canada. The first branch of The Bank of British North America in Toronto was built in 1845 at the northeast corner of Yonge and Wellington Sts. The current building, designed by architect Henry Langley, replaced the original in 1875. The main entrance to the building was initially on Wellington Street, but in the early 1900's as Yonge Street emerged as the city’s main thoroughfare, the doorway was relocated to it's present location in 1903. The University College Main Building at No 15 King's College Circle on the University Of Toronto campus. Constructed in 1853, the building was severely damaged by a fire that gutted the entire eastern wing and the college library in 1890. More than 33,000 books were destroyed in the college library but within two years, the library was replenished through donations. The winner of the competition was Finnish architect Viljo Revell. In 1965 Toronto's fourth city hall opened and still serves as the home of the city's council. The 27 storey east tower and the 20 storey west tower surround the saucer shaped council chamber. The saddest part of the history of our current city hall is that Revell died of a heart attack at 54 years old just 10 months prior to the opening ceremonies and never got to see his vision completed. Constructed in 1931 the Horse Palace on the grounds of Exhibition Place in Toronto Canada is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the city. Built to support the equestrian events of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the building has 1,200 stalls for horses and other live stock and a main practice and exhibition ring under a cathedral style glass ceiling. The Allen Lambert Galleria and Heritage Square was constructed after an invited design competition in 1987. The atrium is a six story high pedestrian thoroughfare that connects Bay St to the west and Yonge St to the east in the Toronto Canada financial district and is frequently used as a showcase for major photography and art exhibits. The building was recently renovated and now serves as the administrative wing of a neighbouring health care facility. Toronto Fire Station No 227 at 1904 Queen Street East in Toronto Canada was built in 1905 as TFD 17. Station 227, also known as The Kew Beach Fire Hall, originally had a single vehicle bay. In 1960 an addition was built on the west side of the original building.
