James Cook was a British explorer, navigator, cartographer, and captain in the British Royal Navy. In 1770, he charted New Zealand and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia on his ship HMS Endeavour (HM Bark Endeavour). He later disproved the existence of Terra Australis, a fabled southern continent.

When I left Aitutaki (Cook Islands) and went back to Rarotonga by plane in 2012 I got a last glimpse of the stunning lagoon with beautiful motu Maina from high above. Paradise - let me get back there, please...one day soon.

I took this picture of the Noni in the Cook Islands after someone native told me that it is the "headache fruit", which means it can cure headaches. But not only that, it seems to be able to reduce all kinds of pains, swellings, stings etc and now is sold in bottles as a juice. I personally liked the shape/texture of the fruit, that's why it interested me in the first place.
