*Digby Memorial, Sherborne' Number of views as of 4th March 2018 = 400. The Digby Memorial, situated outside Sherborne Abbey (Dorset, England) commemorates the life and works of George Digby who funded much renovation work to the Abbey during the 19th century. The memorial was built in 1884 and features statues of: * St Aldhelm (Bishop of Sherborne in the 7th century), * Bishop Roger of Salisbury (Roger de Caen, Abbot of Sherborne who constructed Sherborne Old Castle in the 12th century), * Abbot Bradford (rector of Sherborne Abbey in the 15th century) and * Sir Walter Raleigh (right of shot, who lived at Sherborne Castle in the 16th century). Date: 28th September 2014.
