Description: The Lion of Judah is a powerful and ancient symbol rooted in the Bible, representing strength, kingship, and messianic hope. In Christianity, it refers to Jesus Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, while in Ethiopia it became the royal emblem of the emperors, who traced their lineage back to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. The crowned lion carrying a cross with the red, gold, and green banner is especially tied to Ethiopian identity and the reign of Haile Selassie I.
