Description: Haddon Salt, born October 18, 1928, in Stanfree, Derbyshire, England, emigrated with his wife and three children to California in 1964 with US$10,000. Salt opened "Salt's English Fish & Chips Shop" in Sausalito in 1965. By 1967, Salt had opened three more stores, and his restaurants were now called "H. Salt, Esq.
