Description: The Skeksis are the corrupt rulers of the planet Thra, having inherited it from their benevolent UrSkek predecessors, and embody the knowledgeable, yet unrestrained aspects of the UrSkeks' behavior. Though they are capable of alliances, none trusts the others and would immediately betray another out of self-preservation. Description: The Landstriders are gentle but very protective creatures in the world of Thra. They are very tall reaching up to a height of at least 20 feet tall for the adults and the offspring at least a height of 10 feet tall. They are designed to run as fast as the wind due to their long legs. They have tooth-like projections running down the caudal side of their upper forelimbs that are used for defense. They have thick whisker-like projections on their faces, and some strange projections that resemble rabbit ears that appear to be extensions of the scapula. When the Landstriders come into battle they have an appendage-like stinger that comes out of their mouth.
Description: Skarith, also known as the Skarith Region or Skarith Land, was a vast landmass of Thra surrounded by the Silver Sea and bisected by the Black River. It was naturally divided into several regions which were named by Gelfling settlers. Aside from the Gelfling, its sentient races included the Podlings and Arathim. During the Age of Division, most of Skarith was conquered by the Skeksis Empire. Since the reunification of the urSkeks, the Gelfling Nation has overtaken the land in place of the empire in the Age of Power.

Description: Jen (Stephen Garlick), raised by the noble race called the Mystics, has been told that he is the last survivor of his own race, the Gelflings. He sets out to try to find a shard of the dark crystal, a powerful gem that once provided balance to the universe. After the crystal was broken, the evil Skeksis used sinister means to gain control. Jen believes that he can repair the dark crystal and bring peace back to the world, if he can only find the remaining shard.
