Gekko & Co. was a financial investment corporation run by its founder and CEO, Gordon Gekko, a famed corporate raider. According to Gekko, he was in the finance business since 1969 (when he should've been 25), which implies that Gekko & Co was opened by that time. It has been successful in making investments to companies ever since 1974. Eventually, the company became a client of Jackson-Steinem, a stock broker firm. The company has been a source of wealth for Gekko ever since.
