80s Classic Movie

Beverly Hills Cop is a 1984 American buddy cop action comedy film directed by Martin Brest, written by Daniel Petrie Jr. and starring Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, a street-smart Detroit cop who visits Beverly Hills, California to solve the murder of his best friend. Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Ronny Cox, Lisa Eilbacher, Steven Berkoff and Jonathan Banks appear in supporting roles. This first film in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise shot Murphy to international stardom, won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite Motion Picture" and was nominated for both the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1985. It was an immediate blockbuster.

University Hills is the name of the small, hilly Los Angeles neighborhood dominated by the campus of California State University, Los Angeles. It's also home to the city's tallest public stairway, though... and some other stuff. The Beverly Hills Beach Club is a popular leisure resort where the gang hangs out during summer vacation in Season 2 of BH90210. Episode 1 of the season kicks off with the summer between sophomore and junior year when Brandon tries out for lifeguard but ends up getting offered and taking a job as a cabana boy for the summer. Dylan's been coming to the beach club since he was little, as his parents were members and used to have their own cabana. The actual resort used for filming was Santa Monica's Sand and Sea Club which had just closed up a year earlier and was sitting empty.
