Description: The Ho-Chunk (or Hoocągra or Winnebago) once inhabited parts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. Their seal includes a peace pipe, tomahawk, eagle and a bear, representing a people desiring to live in peace but prepared for war if called upon to defend themselves.

Description: The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska (Ho-Chunk: Nįįšoc Hoocąk) is one of two federally recognized tribes of Ho-Chunk Native Americans, along with the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin. Tribe members often refer to themselves as Hochungra – "People of the Parent Speech" in their own language, a member of the Siouan family.
