There's nothing worse than feeling helpless, trapped, and unable to escape from a situation that ultimately means death! In the natural world, rather than the human world, it is a regular occurrence... TOTAL LOCKDOWN ! Here a spider does what it does and ensnares a horse fly in its carefully crafted web and further wraps it in silky strands of cobweb to deliver a nicely parcelled package of nutrition - as and when its convenient. The image was quite difficult to capture - it was tricky capturing the bodies with a backdrop of trees past the plane of focus and due to the movement of the camera and the movement itself of the cobweb in the wind.
