Inri Tapestries
Description: This powerful design features the bold red letters “INRI” behind three rugged iron nails, arranged in the shape of a cross. The artwork symbolizes the sacrifice at the crucifixion and serves as a striking reminder of faith, redemption, and the cost of salvation. With its raw, distressed style, it appeals to those who value strong Christian symbolism, a bold statement of belief, and artwork that carries both depth and intensity. Ideal for people drawn to meaningful religious imagery and those who want to express their faith in a dramatic and uncompromising way.
Description: A common neon sign at inner-city churches and missions alike, this design includes the Jesus Saves typographic lock-up along with a crown and the initialism INRI (Latin: Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum) which represents the Latin inscription from John 19:19 which in English translates to "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews." I found a similar one at a thrift store in Seattle from one of the local missions once and it was like finding the holy grail. It became one of my favorite used pieces to hunt down, but they were few and far between then and near impossible nowadays to say the least, so mark this one as another classic that's come back from the dead.

Description: Built in 1914, the 4000-seat Church of the Open Door was conceived by R. A. Torrey who had come to Los Angeles to start a Bible institute similar to Moody Bible Institute. The church was to be strictly non-denominational, though Evangelical. Its mission was to reach the lost of Los Angeles, which was reflected in the name based on two passages of Scripture: John 10:9 and Revelation 3:8. For 70 years, the church was located in downtown Los Angeles on Hope Street and 6th St. (536 South Hope St.), where two iconic 'Jesus Saves' neon signs acted as a landmark. The church relocated to Glendora, California in 1985, and the original downtown church building was demolished in the late '80s.
