Description: The port of Invergordon which lies in the Cromarty Firth on the north east coast of Scotland. This is a deep water port and as such is ideal for the maintenance and servicing of oil rigs A number of these line the way into the port and as in the image, tower over the dockyards. It is a cruise ship destination as it is a gateway to the highlands including nearby Loch Ness. These ships arrive and depart to the sound of the local pipe band.
