James Webb Space Telescope Tapestries
Description: NASA's Webb Reveals Cosmic Cliffs, Glittering Landscape of Star Birth - Landscape of 'mountains' and 'valleys' speckled with glittering star-forming region called NGC 3324 / Carina Nebula. Captured in infrared light the James Webb Space Telescope, this image reveals for the first time previously invisible areas of star birth. Called the Cosmic Cliffs,
Description: JWST, or the James Webb Space Telescope, will observe the universe in near-infrared light to study the first stars and galaxies that formed after the Big Bang, the evolution of galaxies, stars and planetary systems, and the origins of life. It is planned to be launched on December 22 2021 Infrared photo credit: NASA
Description: An image of the Cartwheel Galaxy and its companion galaxies is a composite taken from the James Webb’s Near-Infrared and Mid-Infrared Instrument on the powerful telescope. This cartwheel galaxy formed as the result of a high-speed collision that occurred about 400 million years ago. The Cartwheel is composed of two rings, a bright inner ring and a colorful outer ring. Both rings expand outward from the center of the collision like shock waves.
Description: Behold! One of the most exciting images captured by the James Webb Space Telescope is of this galaxy exploring tuxedo cat! I know, it's hard to believe but it's true! This intergalactic cat is a great gift for the cat lovers and science fiction fans alike. Original design by yours truly, artist Robert Phelps.

Description: The enormous mosaic of Stephan’s Quintet is the largest image so far from James Webb Space Telescope, covering about one-fifth of the Moon’s diameter. With its powerful, infrared vision and very high spatial resolution, the Webb telescope shows details never seen before of this galaxy group. Shimmering clusters of millions of young stars and areas of fresh stars feature in this image.
Description: The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a space telescope designed to conduct infrared astronomy. Its high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments allow it to view objects too old, distant, or faint for the Hubble Space Telescope. This enables investigations across many fields of astronomy and cosmology, such as observation of the first stars and the formation of the first galaxies, and detailed atmospheric characterization of potentially habitable exoplanets.

Description: The James Webb Space Telescope (Webb) is the next great space science observatory following Hubble, designed to answer outstanding questions about the Universe and to make breakthrough discoveries in all fields of astronomy. Webb will see farther into our origins: from the formation of stars and planets, to the birth of the first galaxies in the early Universe. Webb is an international partnership between NASA, ESA and CSA. The telescope launched on an Ariane 5 from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, on 25th December 2021.
