Jerry Springer Tapestries
Description: The Jerry Springer Too Hot For TV design celebrates the legendary tabloid talk show host and one of the biggest names in TV during the 1990's, Jerry Springer. Despite a slow ratings start, The Jerry Springer Show found success when producers reformatted the show to feature more polarising topics, scantilly clad guests, shocking revelations and on screen fights. Soon becoming 'must see' TV, The Springer show was seldom far from controversy, outraging politicians and religious leaders across the country who blamed the show for declining moral values in society as a whole.
Description: Jerry Springer was much more than the host of a crazy daytime talk show, he was a beloved adopted native son of Greater Cincinnati. He was a member of City Council before becoming mayor. He later went into broadcasting and politics. It was worth staying up for on Action 5 News. Springer co-anchored with Norma Rashid, and it was here he came up with his famous sign-off "take care of yourself and each other." *A portion of proceeds benefits Tender Mercies in Cincinnati, a charity Springer supported over the years.
