Strawberry Field was a children's home run by the Salvation Army in suburban Liverpool, England, and nearby resident John Lennon used to attend a garden party there every summer. Visitors can see a replica of the red gates, and starting in 2019, a visitor's center with interactive exhibits. Lennon and Paul McCartney's former homes are also close by.
Description: I got a little weird and went all Yellow Submarine/pop-surrealism/unknown planet/who knows what else with this one, because I figure if you're gonna make artwork featuring The Beatles, who've been immortalized in art maybe more than anyone in modern popular culture, you'd better do something that hasn't been done before. So here it is, my first, but definitely not my last tribute to Paul, George, Ringo, and John (listed in order of appearance) ... I hope you enjoy "Day Tripper"!
