Description: Fangorn Forest was a forest beneath the southeastern Misty Mountains. It was known for being the last habitation of the Ents and Huorns. It was named after the oldest Ent, Fangorn (or Treebeard). It was also called Entwood by the Rohirrim.

Description: The Well of the Souls was built after the Ark of the Covenant was taken to Tanis by Pharaoh Shishak around the year 980 BC. A vault, part of a temple commissioned to honor the Egyptian war dead who fell in Shishak's military campaign against the Israelites, was used to hide the Ark from Amun-Ra, the Egyptian sun god.

Description: The Misty Mountains, also named Hithaeglir, was a mountain range stretching 1280 kilometres (796 miles) from Mount Gundabad in the far north to Methedras in the south of Middle-earth, between Eriador and Rhovanion. An early version of these mountains' name was the Sindarin Ered Hithui.

Description: The Forbidden Forest, also known as the Dark Forest, was a forest that bordered the edges of the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As the forest's name suggests, it was strictly off limits to students — except in the case of detention, or Care of Magical Creatures lessons that occasionally took place there. Of course, with the various dangerous creatures living in the Forest, few students would even want to venture into it.

Description: Helm's Deep, named for Helm Hammerhand, was a fortified gorge in the White Mountains located below the Thrihyrne. It lay near the Westfold and was the location of the Hornburg. It was later made famous by the Battle of the Hornburg, a major battle of the War of the Ring.
