This painting depicts a memory from when myself and my friend were in our early 20s. We'd walked up to the top of a hill in our hometown through harsh weather, sat at the top overlooking the town and drunk whisky to combat the cold. A longer description can be found on my Facebook page.

Snowy Owl - peek a boo!

Snowy owl...high above the treetops

I've been trying to find and photograph this Snowy owl for over a month but without success. On my 5th trip to an area about an hour outside of Ottawa I finally spotted him and spent about 5 hours following him around an area covering about 3 square miles. Standing in the middle of an open field with the wind howling in your face and temperatures hovering around -20 was well worth it.
