The Arctic King Eider is a species of sea duck native to the Arctic and subarctic regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. The species is listed as of least concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, and is the largest of the eider species. The species is found in coastal areas in large numbers during the breeding season, where they feed on aquatic invertebrates, mollusks, crustaceans, and eelgrass seeds. During the winter months, they fly south to spend their time in more temperate coastal areas
