The organization was first mentioned in the film Die Hard when Hans Gruber issued a fake demand to the United States Government to release it’s seven members, along with the Liberte de Quebec and the Asian Dawn. The Provo Front is based off the real life terrorist organization the Provisional Irish Republican Army.
