Mad Gas Tapestries
Description: The gas prices are too high. Too expensive. But I have an honorable compromise. Buy my shirt. Give me your money, wear the shirt, complain about the gasoline, and wear my shirt, and I'll spare your lives. Just wear the shirt and we'll give you a safe passageway in the wastelands. Just buy my shirt and there will be an end to the high gas prices.
Description: In early internal combustion engines, “knocking” resulted from the out-of-sequence detonation of the gasoline-air mixture in a cylinder. The constant shock added to exhaust valve wear and frequently damaged engines. After five years of lab work to find an additive to eliminate pre-ignition “knock” problems of gasoline, General Motors researchers Thomas Midgely Jr. and Charles Kettering discovered the anti-knock properties of tetraethyl lead. Their early experiments had examined the properties of knock suppressors such as bromine, iodine and tin – and compare these to new additives such as arsenic, sulfur, silicon and lead.
Description: The Immortan Joe´s Imperial Stout gets some of it inspiration from the Wasteland water. Many of these are barrel aged, mostly in bourbon / whiskey barrels and gasoline, while some are infused with coffee or chocolate and dog food. Alcohol ranges vary, but tend to be quite big, and bigger than traditional Russian Imperial Stouts. Most tend to have cleaner alcohol flavors, higher hop levels, and more residual sweetness. Very full-bodied with rich roasted flavors far surpassing normal stouts.
Description: The Citadel is the stronghold of Immortan Joe. It appears in Mad Max: Fury Road. The Citadel is a cluster of three rock towers that sit above an aquifer of relatively fresh water. By channeling the water through the rock, the people of the Citadel have been able to irrigate a small area of the Wasteland. It is the former stronghold of the paramilitary pseudo-religious cult led by the former pre-apocalypse war hero and decorated military veteran of the Australian Army, Colonel Joseph "Immortan Joe" Moore. later on a more civilized and sophisticated urban society was built after Immortan Joes demise, becoming a town and a home for refugees from across the deserts and a bastion of hope and learning within the Wasteland.
