This beautiful panel of a garden scene was derived from the Prima Porta Frescoes from the so called House of Livia. These frescoes came from a basement room--where the Roman elite could keep cool in the hot summers while still enjoying this magical landscape of being outside. Some scholars have suggested that not all these plants and animals would be seen together at anyone time, therefore representing the Roman concept of cyclical time and the dawn of a new great age.

From Tammy Meets Willim Tell ( The Wurtherington Diary book 5) Art by Duy Truong. A gentle breeze blew from the west. It would not last long as angry clouds were billowing over the mountain peaks. William Tell took careful aim.... He tested the air once again and then focused upon the apple. He released the latch and the arrow sailed across the square and split the apple in half. Walter picked up the two halves and ran into the arms of his father. The villagers embraced one another and cheered as their prayers had been answered.

Lincoln Cathedral, is a Grade I listed cathedral and is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Lincoln. The cobbled area to the west is called Castle Square.

This is an image of the ceiling of Salisbury Cathedral, taken from a viewpoint beneath the great spire. What a place; enormous in scale and divine in its decoration. This is a place that was built during the 13th century, so that's about 750–800 years ago. I must admit that I really enjoy photographing old cathedrals; they have a majesty that is quite sublime. What gets me is the depth of faith that the people who toiled to build such a place must have had. Many would have probably worked on such a place all their working lives. A couple of interesting facts about the cathedral, because I've seem them, are one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta and the world's oldest working clock. She meets Baron Robin Fitzwalter (later known as Robin Hood) in time to see Baynard's Castle torched by King John. Robin comforts his daughter Matilda while the Castle burns in the night. I was in tears with all that had happened so quickly. Alfred and the others comforted me as best they could. I could hear the others making plans. The knights would gather at a meeting place and decide what to do. All the servants would go to relatives in London Town. They explained that London was filled with refugees from burnt-out lands. We marched into London with great fanfare. Virtually everyone lined the streets and greeted us as the victors of hope and change. As we anticipated, not a single sword was raised against us. We marched through the grand city as victors and then camped the army on the edge of town.
