Wanting to prove that the new world was robust and even better than the old, TJ wanted to ship a moose back to England to prove the megafauna of the Americas was superior... But there were some issues in shipping and we can say that the horns came off...

Illustration and photo-reconstruction of a woolly, or Siberian, mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius). This animal lived during the Pleistocene and into the early Holocene, and as such coexisted with humans. It was roughly the same size as a modern African elephant. Covered in thick hair, it was well adapted to the cold environment in which it lived, the tundra steppes of northern America, Europa and Asia.
